Awkwafina
American musician and actor Awkwafina began her career with hilarious rap tracks that tackled racial identity and sexuality with an incisive and humorous perspective, before broadening her reach to Hollywood. Nora Lum began her musical path as a trumpeter. Her birthplace was Forest Hills Queens, she was the daughter of Chinese immigrants as well as Korean immigrants. After classical and Jazz training, she delved into hip-hop in her teen years. When she was in college, she focused on her studies and majored both in women's study and journalism. For a brief period of time in Beijing, Mandarin language classes were also offered. It wasn't until she began focusing on music until after she finished her studies. The track My Vag which was her reaction to Mickey Avalon's My Dick, became a popular viral sensation via the Internet and later appeared on her debut album Yellow Ranger. The album also featured viral hit tracks like body-positive Queef and winking tour of her home NYC Bitche$1. The track that was published is directly linked to the album The Awkwafinas Guide to NYC, her guide to travel in 2015. Her resume contained both an musicians and an author. The singer was seeking to expand her career into acting. Aside from early TV programs like Girl Code and Tawk, she's been featured in movies like Neighbors2Storks, and Bad Rap. In 2018, she landed several notable performances, which included Dude Ocean 8 and Crazy Rich Asians. The EP debuted in June.
